புராதன இந்தியாவினைச் சார்ந்த "கௌதம புத்தர் " அல்லது புத்தர் என்று அநேகரால் அழைக்கப்படும் துறவி, தூய தம்மத்தினை (பௌத்தம்) கண்டறிந்தார்.

2600 வருடங்கள் பழமையான மரபினைக் கொண்ட புத்தரின் உண்மையான போதனையான தூய தம்மமானது முற்றிலும் ஒரு வாழ்க்கை முறைமையேயாகும் மேலும் அது ஒருவரின் சொந்த ஞானத்தினால் மாத்திரமே புரிந்துக்கொள்ளக்கூடியதாகும்.
இன்று இந்தப் போதனைகளானவை ஒரு புத்தக அறிவாக மாற்றம் பெற்று பௌத்தம் என்ற பெயரில் வழிபாடுகளாக, சமயச்சடங்குகளாக ,மந்திர கோஷங்களாக மற்றும் விருப்பங்களாகப் பின்பற்றப்படுகின்றது.
அத்துடன் இன்று இப்போதனைகள் லௌகீக சுகபோகங்களையும் ,பிரபலத்தினையும் , புகழ் மற்றும் பாராட்டுதல்களையும் குறிக்கோளாகக்கொண்டு நடைமுறைப்படுத்தப்பட்டுக்கொண்டிருக்கின்றன. இதன் விளைவாக ஏற்பட்டப் பாரம்பரிய மற்றும் கலாசாரத் தாக்கங்கள் புத்தரின் உண்மையான போதனைகளைப் புரிந்துகொள்வதில் சிரமங்களை ஏற்படுத்தியுள்ளன. அரஹத் மஹநுவர வஜ்ஜிர புத்தி தேரர் தனது சொந்த மற்றும் நடைமுறை ரீதியிலான அனுபவங்களின் மூலம் புத்தரின் தூய தம்மத்தின் மீது மீண்டுமொருமுறை ஒளியினைப் பாய்ச்சுகின்றார்.

1990 களிலிருந்துத் தனித்திருந்துப் புத்தரின் உண்மையானப் போதனைகளைத் தனது சொந்த அனுபவங்களின் மூலமும், திறமையான உன்னத ஆசிரியர்களின் துணைக் கொண்டும் ஆராய்ந்து நடைமுறைப்படுத்திக்கொண்டிருந்தார். அவரது தொடர்ச்சியான பயிற்சியின் பயனாக உயர்ந்த பேரின்பப் பயனான முக்தி நிலையினை (நிப்பான நிலை ) அடைந்தார். ( பூரண அமைதியையும் இன்பத்தினையும் தரும் ஒரு நிலையாகும்.) சரியானப் பாதையைப் பின்பற்றுவதன் மூலம் சுயமாக மட்டுமே உணர்ந்துக்கொள்ளக் கூடிய ஒரு மனநிலையாகும்)

நான்கு உன்னத மெய்ப்பொருட்கள், "துக்க" (இந்த உலகினில் நிரந்தர இன்பம் என்று எதுவும் கிடையாது), "சமுதய" (துக்க விற்கான காரணம் ஆசைகளுக்கான பற்றுதலாகும் ), நிரோத (துக்க விலிருந்து கிடைக்கப்பெறும் விடுதலை), மக்க ( துக்கவிலிருந்து விடுபடுவதற்கானப் பாதை) இவை வெளிப்புலன்களான கண் காது மூக்கு நாக்கு உடல் மற்றும் மனது என்பவற்றின் மூலம் பெற்றுக்கொள்ள முடியாத சிக்கலான மெய்ப்பொருட்களாகும்.
இந்த நான்கு உன்னத மெய்ப்பொருட்களையும் ஒருவர் தனக்குள்ளேயே கொண்டிருக்கின்றார். ஆகையால் தான் நடைமுறைப்படுத்தியவற்றை போதிக்கும் அதேவேளை போதிப்பவற்றை நடைமுறைப்படுத்தும் அரஹத் மஹநுவர வஜ்ஜிரபுத்தி தேரர் புத்தரின் போதனைகளைக் கொண்டு தனைத் தொடர்பவர்களைக் கவரக்கூடிய வகையில் வழிகாட்டுகின்றார்

அரஹத் தேரர், அனைத்து மனிதர்களையும் இன, மத ,சாதி மற்றும் சமூக அந்தஸ்தினை கடந்து விளிக்கின்றார்.

புத்தரின் போதனைகளின் அத்திவாரம் அன்பைக் கொண்டதாகும். இது மனிதர்களைத் தாண்டி விலங்கினங்கள் மற்றும் தாவர இனங்களின் மீதும் இரக்ககுணத்தை கடைப்பிடிப்பதனை வலியுறுத்துகின்றது. அரஹத் மஹநுவர வஜ்ஜிரபுத்தி தேரரின் பிரசாங்கத்தின் அத்திவாரமும் இதுவேயாகும்.

2006 ம் ஆண்டு அரஹத் தேரர் தனது 4 பிரசங்கங்களை ஹில் கண்ட்ரி ரேடியோவிலே (இலங்கை ஒலிபரப்புக் கூட்டுத்தாபனம்) புத்தரின் தூய போதனைகளைத் தேடுபவர்களுக்கு வழங்குவதற்காக முன்வந்தார். இது பாரம்பரிய பௌத்த சமூகத்திலே ஒரு சலனத்தினை விளைவித்தது.

10 வருடங்களின் பின்னர் மீண்டுமொருமுறை கொழும்பு மஹவெளி நிலையத்தில் வைத்துத் தன் மௌனத்தினை கலைத்த அரஹத் மஹநுவர வஜ்ஜிரபுத்தி தேரர், "இந்த அரசாங்கத்திற்கு ஒரு மதம் தேவையா? " என்கின்ற கேள்விக்கு பதிலாக ஒரு விழிப்புணர்வை ஏற்படுத்தக் கூடிய ஒரு கலந்துரையாடலை தேசத்திற்கு முன்வைத்தார். தொடர்ந்து இலங்கையில் சிரச தொலைக்காட்சி நிறுவனம் ஒளிபரப்பிய "பதிகட" என்கின்ற நிகழ்ச்சியில் பங்கு கொண்டதன் ஊடாக சமூகத்தின் சிந்தனைத் திறனில் ஒரு ஆக்கபூர்வமான மாற்றத்தினை ஏற்படுத்தினார்.

மக்களின் மனங்களுடன் நேரடியாக உரையாடுவதனூடாக சமுதாயத்தின் பல்வேறு முகப்புகளில் விழிப்புணர்வினை ஏற்படுத்தி புத்தரின் உண்மையான போதனைகளில் வேரூன்றிய ஒரு சமுதாயமாக , உயர்ந்த ஒழுக்க நெறிகளையும் தார்மீகங்களையும் பின்பற்றும் ஒரு சமுதாயமாக உலகளாவிய ரீதியில் வாழும் மனிதர்களுக்கு நாகரீகமுடைய ஒரு சமூகத்தினை நிர்மாணிப்பதே அரஹத் மஹநுவர வஜ்ஜிரபுத்தி தேரரின் முயற்சியாகும்.
